Beyond disappointed

Just got all my washer dryer pedestal and twin washer sidekick. The sidekick was the whole reason I chose this washer and dryer set. Everything was delivered today and I havent even used the washer the delivery guy ran test cycles with water including the sidekick. I was gonna load the washer this evening and theres quite a bit of water under the machine. It leaked. Disappointed doesnt even describe what Im feeling because I bought this on cyber Monday and was barely able to get it today may 31 I dont know if Im returning it yet I went 1.5 yrs without a washer and dryer and I have so much to wash and cant even wash because I dont know where it leaks. Now I have to call Lowes and wait for repair probably

Great machine with poor design

No soap or fabric softener dispenser. Difficult to find start/stop button to add fabric softener because it does not light up. Drawer locks while machine is running so I pretty much need to kneel and shine light to stop machine pull out drawer and add fabric softener. You cannot use larger machine to control SideKick panel.

Great Addition to Signature Set. Versatile.

This item is a really nice addition to the set. I get to wash 2 loads at once. It does a great job washing. I love the extra Rinse settings. I can get my clothes nice and super clean by rinsing out the old detergent very well. Im not sure how much water this uses or if its as energy efficient as the washer in the set but I still like to use it. It is a little harder to use because it is on the ground and it doesnt have any hot water options which kind of sucks but I will and have already gotten my use out of it. The dryer is so large that it can handle the extra laundry I put into it. The only thing I would say is that the manual was a little misleading on the detergent part. It mentioned placing the detergent with the little rubber thing it came with directly into the washer but I dont do that because I dont think youre supposed to put the rubber thing into the washer. This part needed some revision and clarification. Illustrations wouldve been nice. Also I believe there is some confusing but also misleading information out there about there being a detergent dispenser built into this. There is not a detergent dispenser.

Terrible Feature/ Terrible Design

Signature is supposed to be the top of the LG line or so I thought but doesnt apparently apply to the sidekick that came with the washing machine. Case in point: Instead of providing reservoirs for detergent and fabric softener you have a small rubber cup you must fill with detergent to be placed inside the tub for the washing. When the signal goes off to add the fabric softener you have to pause the wash cycle pull out the tub add the softener close the tub and re-engage the cycle. The less expensive and smaller LG models have reservoirs on the top of the unit where you pour the detergent on one side and the fabric softener on the other negating the entire process described above. Did I get the wrong Sidekick for my Signature Washer Im wondering?

Ive had the Sidekick for over 3 years and use it all the time. I love it I use it for small loads of reds/pinks delicates and items I want to wash right away. The only thing I wish it had was a presoak feature. Other than that I love this machine and would highly recommend it.

I wanted the pedestal washer to wash my delicates. It is easy to use and I can wash a load in the main washer and the pedestal at the same time which cuts down on time spent doing laundry. Clothes are softer and cleaner than in the big washer with other clothes.

Do NOT buy the LG pedestal washer it does not clean clothes. There is a very small amount of detergent and water used so it does NOT get stains dirt or smells out of clothes. If you ONLY want to wash intimates i.e. lace bras or have a very very light wash on items then it is fine. It is a waste of money and does NOT work as advertised on the LG website. If you use the contact form on the website to send a message to the President of LG do not except a response I sent a message and did not get a response.

Overall this is a great idea and LG did a great job executing it. I would have liked to have seen WiFi support like our main washer has so I get alerts of when it is finished. I would have also liked to have seen a softener cup so that I could just set it to run and only come back when its done. Right now having to had softener at mid cycle is extra steps. Also there is no way to silence the beeps so when my kid is taking a nap I have to make sure to close the door for the room.

This washer doesnt get even small loads very clean. Cant use bleach and you have to listen for the washer to signal when it has stopped midway so you can add softener to the load Would not buy again as it doesnt work well especially at this price point. Have not found a good use for this washer.

Ok How many of us have few of that price of clothes that is not a dark or light color needed to be washing at same time... I dont use this side kick all the time but when I need it it is definitely nice to have it
