TERRIBLE DO NOT BUY LG APPLIANCES

DONT waste your money on this refrigerator it is not worth it. I wouldve given this product 0 stars but it wasnt an option. We ordered this refrigerator back in 2019BRAND NEW and it went out shortly after its delivery. We had to throw away HUNDREDS of dollars worth of groceries and had to get a mini fridge to survive out of until the problem was resolved. We were able to get a replacement our 2nd refrigerator also BRAND NEW it was working for a while and the replacement has now gone out it wont keep anything cool at all. We are now 1. Out of a refrigerator and had to throw away HUNDREDS of dollars worth or groceries AGAIN because everything has spoiled inside of the fridge that wasnt keeping the food cool 2. Back living out of a small mini fridge 3. Stuck with this fridge because they wont replace it they wont issue a check or refund for it they wont come and service it and they wont even offer a reimbursement for the groceries we had to throw away so we now have this big useless fridge in our kitchen and can do nothing with it and basically just took the money and threw it right in the trash. These products are supposed to be known for their reliability and they are no where near reliable. Pick a different brand

Wish I could give - 5 because 1 or even ZERO is too good for LG. I know we have all had our issues with large companies its a fact of life. Appliances are built and engineered early obsolescence and preplanned failure for early replacement. Things used to last for 20 and 30 years and now last for 3 to 5 if youre lucky. OK so we deal with that like sheep because they all do this to us - with a smile but LG takes it to a new level. Ive been in sales and customer service all my life. I bought the last model of this refrigerator for over $3000 and Ive had nothing but a heartache after headache since the time I got it. LG service people came out and tried to fix my refrigerator more than three times and it does not work. First the freezer then the refrigeration. They ordered parts several times and replaced them until they said there were no parts left to replace and said that refrigerator was not fixable. They even had me do things like shut the refrigerator off for 24 hours and then turn it back on for possible frozen lines. Absolutely nothing worked. On 4 separate occasions I have probably thrown out approximately $1000 worth of food. I cant even imagine what hoops you would have to jump through to get that partially covered with the games that they played when they wont even replace a refrigerator that cant be fixed that is within the warranty. They also received my Proof of Purchase as requested. Supposedly Im at whjat they call their Presidential level regarding Customer Service and its NOT presidential at all The primary customer service cannot even contact the presidential level other than with email. They the primary customer service cannot call them and customers can not call that level either because the main customer service said to me that - I cant either because the UN-presidential level has no phone number. So basically what lies can be told now when they know every last detail and do nothing while I and my family sit around for yet another week with a warm refrigerator - again and again. The last game that was played they said a ticket was not put in from the repair office that they sent from LG to my house. This is what they asked for and received after they made us suffer an additional five days with no refrigerator and medication that I have to keep refrigerated as a senior citizen. They just run you ragged until you quit. I dont understand this way of doing business. Obviously if you do finally quit even though you are within your rights to have a replacement would you ever go back to LG for anything at all. Also would you ever say one good thing about LG again for the next 20 years? Of course you wouldnt and word of mouth means something or should anyway and now word of mouth travels fast. I know for instance if this does not get posted I will post it elsewhere where it will probably get even more exposure thats how upset I am about this credible passive aggressive culture at LG I have copied and pasted it for that purpose. I would say it is a well thought out system by LG to absolutely drive you crazy until you give up and thats all there is to it and each person is TRAINED to say the same things Sorry We want to manage your Expectations etc...like robots. Well Im sure they will be replaced soon enough with actual robots. What a horrible horrible horrible company.

Horrible customer service when things break

I purchased an older model of this product - within a year we had issues with the sensor with the light of the door in door section going on for every sound in our kitchen. We also recently had a refrigerator drawer break because one little plastic piece fell off. The customer service from LG has been atrocious. I received a replacement part with the same piece broken as my original drawer. And have called multiple times to get a refund and replacement but they keep transferring me from one department to another. Nobody will help. They claim the parts are supplied by a 3rd party so its not LGs problem Its been over 2 weeks and nobody is able to help or even escalate the issue

Poor shelf design/ ice maker broke first day

Fair Notice: LG refunded the full purchase price after 3 failed attempts to fix the ice delivery system in the door and after removing the warranty paperwork let me keep the fridge. RE: Shelving. Like most mid range fridges LG offers 1 or 2 adjustments per shelf which is simply not sufficient given the wide range of container sizes offered by all the various grocery stores. Im always remember if the shelves will accommodate larger products. Purchasing online exacerbates the problem because food vendors work to hide the sizes of their containers. The strangest design however is the shelf in the lower freezer section. That shelf will only pull out half way making access to items on that shelf difficult at best. The ice tray is the worst part. The system will only make 3 to 6 balls of custom ball cubes per day and automatically shuts off after each set of cubes is made so if you use ice a lot you will be emptying the upper ice make container into the lower ice storage bin maybe often. The first problem is that since only of that bin is exposed its difficult and often messy to dump the ice cubes from the upper bin to the lower bin. The second problem is the back of the lower bin is cut out so that if you add more than half the bins volume it will push cubes out the back of the bin into the bottom of the fridge which requires taking the entire shelf out of the fridge to retrieve. Also because of the cutout at the back the lower bin if you remove just the bin it must be tilted to such a degree that cubes will inevitably fall out the back of the bin into the base of the fridge. It seems that when the entire lower drawer is pulled out as far as it goes there is room for the shelf in that drawer to move back and forth across the entire depth of the drawer which would be great but for some reason LG chose not to figure it out. Lastly I would not recommend getting the ice maker in the door as it makes the door shelves so shallow as to be nearly useless. I would also not recommend the see through glass in the door. Its basically useless past the initial curiosity and severely limits the number of magnets that door will hold I do wish the open door alarm could be louder and that the WiFi connection didnt quit so often and that this app was more concerned with service than selling me more stuff. Otherwise the box looks nice and keeps things cold.

$2200 for ice I can never put in my drinks on a new ice machine. There is something wrong with the water that comes out of the ice maker it taste like dirty mold. It has nothing to do with the actual water that taste fine and when I freeze that water its fine. The water that comes out of the actual ice makers is the problem. I tested this by holding a bowl up to the ice maker and flipped the switch to drop the ice early. did this on repeat so water came out and the water smells the same way. I have the right cord hooked up I tried all the problem solving the only way to fix the issue would be to rehose the ice maker on a new fridge?? fix this problem LG its something to do with the lines or the parts. The same parts are on other fridges as well. love the door and the fridge but the ice ruins it all and its driving me crazy. its not a new fridge taste either something is weird about these.

This refrigerator has nothing but problems. Fix it once expect issues again. First it didnt make ice. Had a technician come out and three days later it finally started making ice. Everything is fine and then it has a fan issue where it isnt cooling properly. Now I have to go through customer support again. Which isnt quick. I have wasted so much time with customer support because of this refrigerator. I will likely be buying a different one that is not LG. Also it has french doors but be careful because the little flap that is supposed to close does not close most of the time. Which uses more energy because there is a big gap of air between the doors. Ive heard the same thing about other LG refrigerators from family and friends. All of them regret buying an LG refrigerator.

French Door with craft ice maker

LRMVC2306S DO NOT BUY Very serious sealing issues. 4 years old and has had repairs 3 times due to doors not sealing. The last time the door would no longer close and had to be replaced. For the cost of the item and it being an LG I am utterly surprised. I am waiting on the 4th repair to be done on 4/21 due to sealing again This is so frustrating and shouldnt be happening. When you read the reviews others complain of this as well. Our ice maker has been replaced as well. Nothing with the compressor or craft ice maker just yet. You better buy the extended warranty you will need it. This particular model made doing COVID is not good. We own another LG refrigerator and we have not had any issues. Its nothing fancy. Just a simple stainless steel. We use it as an overflow fridge. I dont hesitate to call for a technician especially for what the warranty cost for 3 years. But it is very frustrating.

Misaligned doors. no seal/suction to keep cool in

On the day of delivery I was informed via text that my refrigerator could not be delivered. I had already removed all the food from both the freezer and refrigerator that morning and transferred them into coolers purchasing 4 large ice packs to create a makeshift freezer. I then had to haul everything back to the freezer and refrigerator again. After contacting customer service to voice my complaint they assured me that it would be delivered the next day. Once again I bought 4 large bags of ice packs and repeated the process of transferring the raw meat and contents back to coolers. When the refrigerator finally arrived I noticed it was tilted and lower in the back. The installer attempted to blame my floor but I pointed out that the old fridge was leveled just fine. To resolve the issue we had to place a piece of wood under the back to level it. He then showed me how to install one handle and left me to install the others despite installation being included in my purchase. When I presented my receipt he did not believe it. To make matters worse he also failed to connect the new water line and managed to flood my hardwood floor while he was outside. I was left frantically scooping water from the bucket to the sink. He asked me to empty the bucket three times despite my shoulder injury on both sides. Additionally the installer scratched my hardwood floors and chipped two spots on the cherry wood framing around my refrigerator. As I peeled off the protective plastic from the French door I noticed that the right door is lower than the left the door is misaligned and there is hardly any seal with no suction whatsoever to retain the cool air. I called customer service and spoke to six different representatives who failed to grasp my concerns. Instead of addressing the issue on the same day they told me I would be contacted within 24 hours. The last week has been incredibly frustrating dealing with LG and the past two days have been a nightmare. I will never purchase another LG product and do not recommend them unless you have significant disposable income.

The refrigerator is nice but hope to god it doesnt break down and you need it repaired by them. Its been 4 weeks and excuse after excuse why they cant get someone out. Then we see a class action lawsuit going on for their compressors so thats not good Think twice before buying and by the way our unit is only a couple of years old.

This is not an incentived review My fridge stopped working. Today of all days. On Christmas day. We had whirlpool for 11 years no issue and today shy of 4 years with this fridge we get code CH E on the screen. Cant do anything on Christmas other than watch your food rot on your fridge.

This is the best fridge ever but it has a rattle in it that wont go away. If I press on the outside of the body or a door it will stop. If I adjust the feet it will stop. If I wiggle it around it will stop after hearing what sounds like a swinging fan go Rrrr Rrrr Rrrr a few times. Then it starts back up in a minute an hour a day maybe 2. it is so nice when it does. Rattles like a jackhammer 1/2 the time SO loud sounds like there is a looses fan inside. When I wiggle it around it sounds like it is swinging. Rrrr Rrrr Rrrr then it will go back to its Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr OR not. Sometimes what I do to it makes it quiet stay quiet for an hour a day maybe 2 then it rattles up again. If I press on any of doors or the fridge cabinet it stops. When I let go it starts. Or not. Who knows? It is so loud we will not be able to keep it. Tried support chat after running me through irrelevant troubleshooting techniques told me it must be a normal noise not to worry. Try a better brand.

This fridge is awesome EXCEPT it has a very loud rattle when the compressor is running. The whole fridge vibrates it sounds like there is a loose fan or something inside. I can go over press on a door or the back cabinet part it will stop every time. I can wiggle it around it will stop sometimes.notger times the loose fan noise will go rrrr rrrr rrrr like its swinging inside there then it will go back to rattling. It is so loud that I can hear it upstairs at the other end of the house with the door closed. I have adjusted the feet a million different ways. Sometimes the things I do are successful it stops rattling for an hour a day maybe even 2 then it starts back up again I have to mess with it to keep it from driving my wife crazy. I tried customer service but after running me through irrelevant exercises to troubleshoot told me it was a normal sound not to worry about it. Ill be selling this on marketplace buying a different brand very soon. No reason to have to put up with defective merchandise.

We love everything about this fridge except the noise. The size is perfect for our space with all the ways to store stuff we find we have plenty of room. We love the flexible drawer. The glass door is stupid a waste of money but the storage in the door behind it is great. we dont have to open the whole fridge just to get the milk out. The reason for only 3 stars is the buzzing/rattling sound the compressor makes. It vibrates the whole fridge sounds like an old Harley Davidson motorcycle. So annoying I can hear it upstairs at the other end of the house with the door shut. Maybe ours is a lemon youll get lucky but no matter how I adjust the feet or slide the unit around in its space it just keeps buzzing. Too bad. We will probably end up replacing this with a better brand. Disappointed.

We love this fridge. From the size for our needs to the flexible drawer it works so well for us. The door storage behind the glass is awesome. The glass is pretty stupid though. It should just be a stainless door. No body needs the glass its just a fluffy bell whistle to increase price. The reason for my low score is that when the compressor I assume kicks on this thing rattles buzzes like a 74 Harley Davidson. It is so loud that I can hear it upstairs at the other end of the house. I have adjusted the feet to include not having the leveling feet down. I have moved it around in the limited space etc but even if I get it to be quiet or stop the next couple of times the compressor kicks in it just rattles on again. We will probably end up replacing it soon because of the noise. I wouldnt recommend this unit.

I bought this unit in June of 2024. It has many features and was please with the features per dollar aspect. However in September the water valve broke leaving the water dispensor running very slow small ice cubes and partial ice balls. Because of my location it took over 2 months to get it repaired. The repair person was great but was 2.5 hours from where I live. Its working now but Id say this: Why would LG sell such an applicance in a area where they do not have a technician close by?

There is a known issue with these refrigerators. The compressor makes a fair amount of noise. We ended up moving the unit into the garage because of the noise. LG told us noise is not covered by the warranty. The water filter assembly needed to be replaced after one year. We only use ORM filters and the filter would not seal. While we really like he features and size of the refrigerator we would not buy another LG product.

The appearance is good and it works well overall. We did encounter an issue with the Craft Ice Maker and the compressor which needed to be replaced. However the warranty service was excellent and the problem was resolved within a few days.

Worst purchase ever Would definitely not recommend unless you want to have to purchase another fridge literally a year later. We got this fridge due to the great features and reviews. Less than 6 months after purchase the freezer stopped working. It took a repairman more than 2 weeks to show. To not fix the issue. He replaced the component only for the freezer to look like Antarctica and stick when trying to open it. Some days the food is frozen and some days its not.

We purchased this model in large part based upon its high rating in Consumer Reports. We chickled at this being WiFi capable. That feature however came in handy when we were out of town for 3 weeks. Shortly after we left I got a text message warning that the refrigerator was not able to keep its set temperature. I got my neighbor to check and sure enough the freezer had thawed. The problem turned out to be the flap which seals the french doors hadnt engaged. A brief adjustment later all has returned to normal. So we ended up being thankful for that feature. We did feel like it took too long for the repairman to show up 5 calendar days. We do enjoy the craft ice maker though it takes 24 hours to make 3 round cubes. The see through door feature is of little use to us. We do appreciate the quietness of operation however.

I have the counter-depth one and its pretty new 2 years. Save yourself a mess and dont buy this. As others have noted it has trouble cooling. The fridge is lukewarm the freezer will melt your ice cream. My freezer never reaches the safe freezer temperature of zero degrees even though its set to -7. It usually is 20 to 30 degrees above that. My fridge is better but barely clings to 40. Yes there are some people on here who love it but its important that you know that if you are one of the ones who gets a non-working one of which there are apparently many there is nothing you can do. Your extended warranty is useless as its the sealed system that fails when the unit isnt cooling and thats covered by the manufacturer: LG. It will be like pulling teeth to get someone out from LG theyll come out and not fix it then when you call to say their fix didnt work theyll just send someone again. Ive had someone out 4 times and they are still telling me they need to send a service provider out to fix it. No one can fix it no one will say its not fixable or even why the fixes arent working. Ive had to keep a small fridge in my dining room for months. Im sure you have more important things to do with your life that be trapped in this loop.

Disappointed with Quality and Customer Service

I bought an LG refrigerator expecting it to last years but it failed just one month after the warranty expired. The ice maker broke spilling water all over my kitchen floor damaging my hardwood floors and causing major frustration. To make matters worse my food and even some medicines were spoiled due to the malfunction. When I contacted LG customer service informed me it would cost $400 just to get a technician to come out and thats not even counting the cost of any parts or additional repairs that might be needed. I had even went through the added step of registering the product when I purchased. The support team was based abroad and it was clear the agents didnt have the authority to offer any real solutions or alternatives. This level of quality and service is disappointing for such a significant purchase. I trusted LGs reputation but Im left feeling completely let down. If youre shopping for a new refrigerator I recommend looking at other brands that are more reliable and have better customer support.

I have had this for a few year and had nothing but trouble with it. Both icemakers had to be replaced and twice it just shut off. This last time it leaked water from the ice maker in the door and warped my wood floors.

The fridge basically has every feature that i wanted in a fridge. The only concern i had was that the ice maker would break which it eventually did. They sent me a replacement for free so it wasnt too bad seeing that i was still in warranty. But the space is vast and the fridge is always something people mention when they walk in and they share how grand it looks.

Had this refrigerator 6 months and it says to replace the air filter. I watch the video on how to do it rotate the cover counterclockwise like it says and the tabs break of making the entire air filter useless. Hate this refrigerator and all the cheap plastic parts that dont last.

Do not purchase I really hope there a class action lawsuit in the works. My tech informed me that LG is aware of the ongoing issue with this expensive modle colling system. Ive own my refrigerator for less than 3 years and LG has deemed it to be unrepairable. LG is refusing to send a more season tech to attempt to fix my issue. Lg is refusing to compensate for the price of this refrigerator. I will never ever by another LG product again.

these products look good but thats about it the compressors dont live up to their expected time 5 years means 1 Ive had mines repaired at least once a year and they dont inform you that in order for the to count the repairs that you have to go through them for a refund its Aug 2024 I purchased these products in 2019 and Ive had repairs done every year on the refrigerator twice this year they will just keep putting the same fault compressors and other parts on their products instead of upgrading the products again there are class actions on this trash

We love this fridge. Great features and seems very well made. Love the door-in-door. Only con has been the air filter cover which would not come off easily and broke when giving it enough force to remove. But LG warranty replacement was very smooth and efficient.
