Replacement of our first cooktop

We loved our older Electrolux cooktop so much when we dropped a crock pot on to it and damaged the glass top, we needed to replace. The new replacement is even better updated from the 10 years ago when we first purchased the first one. Easy to clean, love the less trim all great. Also feels like the elements are heating up faster.

I bought this years ago but don't but it because all you do is get the code E-11 off so you can cook your meal sometimes you just have to walk by it and the code comes up and all you hear is that code. We're older and when we make a purchase we try to get a better brand so we don't have to worry about it again for years but don't buy this cooktop. I had an Amana for years and never gave us any problems.

We had this big cooktop for 12 years and was intensively used for a family of 5. It's nice and modern/sleek. It's a bit labour intensive to keep it really clean. Wait too long and it's impossible to remove the spilled foods. Easy to use, great features. Lasted 12 years, repair was 40% of new price, decided to buy a new one, same brand. Repairman said avg lifespan is about 10+ yrs.

I've only had this 2 months and am still trying to figure out the best setting for heating, eg: med high, low, etc. It also will turn off the power or turn on the timer when a pan is set on it. Still figuring it out.

It scratches very easily. Very difficult to clean and now after about a year one burner is bad. Only comes on high and heat can't be adjusted. I would never recommend an electrolux cooktop.

After installation the cooktop immediately started error code E-11. Appliance repairman came out replaced board and was ready to leave and it quit working completely. He stated it needed to be on a separate circuit from the wall oven. Electrician came out verified he was in compliance with electrical needs for cooktop. Replaced with a new replacement cooktop and it worked about 3 startups and then E-11 codes returned. This is very frustrating. I have a new kitchen with new appliances and constant beeping of E-11 codes until you go to electrical box to reset. You cannot touch or clean the cooktop without creating a E-11.

I™™ve had this cooktop for two years without any problems. And then this happens (see the picture). Error code SF. The manual does not describe this error code. That is my complaint. I would think for the price of this cooktop the manual should desueach and every error code.

This was part of our upgrade for our kitchen. Love that knobs are gone...touch controls.Love the ability to control size of burners.Love the expansive size of cooktop Love that there are 5 burnersCons;very sensitive, there is a lock, but the timer keeps coming on...possessed!!!

Only six months old. The cooktop displays an E11 error message if moisture comes in contact with the cooktop or if pressure is applied to certain areas (EX: placing a pot or wiping the surface) The E11 message can only be cleared and the alarm can only be silenced by flipping off the breaker switch for the house. I was told the Lock button needs to be on, but that is not the answer when you are cooking.

I have been extremely pleased with my new cook top - not only is it beautiful and sleek in its design but it boils water extremely fast and gives me a very useful cooking area to work with. I have only used it for about 3 weeks but have really enjoyed it.

We replaced a 1985 Thermador electric cooktop with the Electrolux 36" with downdraft ventilation. The unit arrived expertly packaged. The installation instructions were accurate and well written and the installation was fairly easy for an average handyman. We love the touch controls, the layout, the variable sized elements, and the speed with which it heats. The only downside is needing to be more careful about spilling but that is the same for any ceramic cooktops.

I have been using this for about 3 months now. I find it heats up very quickly but I have some issues getting a proper simmer. I thought it had a simmer button but it does not.. My major complaint is that the timer keeps going off when I clean the stove top. A storm also made the unit go haywire going on an off until we reset the circuit breaker and eventually it ironed itself out. I had to call for service but Of course if didn't malfunction then. apparently this is not uncommon.

This is the worst cooktop you could possibly buy. First, let's start off by saying that I didn't receive mine until four months after I ordered it. Second, the cooktop is ridiculously sensitive to pressure. If you set another pot down on it without presetting the heat burner, it goes all wonky on you. The only way to reset it is to turn it off at the breaker. This happens at least once or twice while cooking every meal. I'm still in the process of getting a new computer board and it's been 3 months. DO NOT BUY THIS HORRIBLE COOKTOP!!!!!!!!!!

We had to replace our old cooktop and we searched high and low for a new one that would suit our needs and that would fit properly. This is the only one that was large enough to cover the existing space. It is beautiful, I love the frame around it. It makes it look elegant. I also love that the large burners are in the front, as most of the time when I am using large pots, I have to frequently stir the ingredients. You don't want to constantly have to put your arm over other hot pots to do the stirring. It took a bit to get used to the digital controls, but I especially like the lock feature so that when I am cleaning the stove I don't accidently turn it on when wiping over the panel. All in all, I would say it is a quality stove that also looks sleek and beautiful in any kitchen. Also, I love the double and triple burners - so versatile. We are very happy to have this stove.
