Upgrading to this washer felt like jumping straight into the future! My previous machine was a ~10-year-old top loader that came with my house, so the jump in technology blew me away. I™™ve always trusted Whirlpool, but this model really surprised me. First, the sensing feature is awesome -- it adjusts the water level based on the load, which saves a ton of water. Second, it™™s surprisingly quiet. The washing cycle sounds like a little printer running, which made me laugh, but it gets the job done efficiently. The capacity is a total game-changer for a family of four. Being able to remove the agitator makes fitting bulky bedding and comforters so easy. Highly recommend it!

I bought the washer through Costco. As always, Costco delivery had never disappoint. The washer capacity is bigger than I expected which is good though. I like that I can control the washer via app on my phone. Although I noticed that the Remote Start feature on the phone keeps going on and off sometimes. Not sure why it is that way. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.

One Huge Flaw - No Way To Manually Dispense Soap

Detergent dispensing is awkward, frustrating and time consuming if not using Load & Go. My sensitive skin demands I use the least amount of soap possible, so Load & Go is not an option. Without another built-in dispenser, I™™m forced to wait for enough water to collect in the drum before swirling in my liquid detergent, then adding my clothes. The sensing/filling wait time is about 5 minutes while I stand and watch, wasting time. If I had been made aware of this issue, I would have purchased a different machine. Unless there is something I™™m overlooking, this is a very poor design feature. I™™m not sure how a user would add a powder, like OxyClean, Except for this, I do think my clothes are cleaner, and the washer is relatively quiet.

Washer lost power mid cycle and the lid was locked shut. This is the second washer that this has happened to. I thought the first time it was a fluke, so I bought another one. The warranty process is a nightmare. I have been without my washer for almost a month. They are not helpful at all during the process.

I did a lot of research and I thought it might be worth sharing my review to help others as I was so afraid of buying a bad washer and dryer. I™™ve waited a couple of months just to make sure I™™m still happy but I love this machine, the clothes are clean the soap is dispensing properly., there™™s no residue left on my clothes. You can use the agitator or not use the agitator. I have nothing bad to say, the clothes smell wonderful and the dryer goes with is equally as nice. Don™™t hesitate. I™™ve been very happy so far.

Whirlpool washer model WTW8127LC3 is a lemon product. We got one last year, it ended up being a lemon, then they replaced it with same model, 6 months later the new one started having problems which were different but broke all the same. We are now waiting on the 4th time for service technician to come back to work on it we have been out of a working washer for over a month, not to mention whirlpool warranty is giving us the run around about not wanting to give a refund or replace this one, mean while we're stuck without a washer. The escalation supervisor stated she couldn't help beyond telling me they will just keep working on it til they figure out how to repair it. This is unacceptable. Buyer beware!! Two lemon units with this model is a big red flag!!

We are not sure. It seems to be working alright but the instructions are very confusing and sketchy. It would be nice if there were clear instructions on using the Washer. At times we are afraid to leave the washer alone in case it starts walking across the floor again. We even had a service tech. come out and check it out and he said that it was working fine and this is just the way the new ones work. It is hard to know what it is doing. We like our old washer of 30 years much better and it was a shame to have to part with it.

We have owned this washer for a year and a half. It's quiet and that's amazing. Other than that, it just hasn't been impressive. We get a fault code about it being overloaded with just one basket of laundry...same size we put in our 20 year old washer we just replaced. I've come to learn that i think you have be very gentle when you load it. The worst part is that our clothing just isn't getting cleaned. Our white are consistently dingy. It doesn't removed stains. We have used multiple detergents. i'm beginning to think the dispenser is the problem, but we haven't tested that yet. All in all, my 20 year old washer was amazing. I splurged on this one and it simply hasn't lived up to the hype.

Buyer Beware!

The washer stopped working within two weeks of purchase. Because of Home Depot™™s internal policy they would not replace the washer, so we reached out to Whirlpool who also would only agree to have a certified Whirlpool repairman look at and repair it-if it was covered under warranty (again, two weeks after we purchased this brand new machine). Whirlpool gave us the name of a repairman in our area and we had to arrange and take time out of our day to schedule and meet with the repairman. He diagnosed the issue as a faulty electronics board (not sure what it was called) which had ceased to function. The repairman ordered the part and because Whirlpool would not expedite shipment for the replacement part, we were forced to spend additional money and time bringing our laundry to the laundromat for three weeks. The repairman (who was wonderful) repaired the washer under warranty at no additional cost to us. We are now left with a brand new washer that was faulty from day one. Fortunately we now have a qualified repairman we can call if/when this lemon of a machine breaks again

Washer failed after 6 Months

I purchased this washer only six months ago, and the digital control panel has already gone completely blank, making the machine unusable. A technician came to my home, diagnose the problem, and said replacement parts needed to be ordered. After not hearing anything for 10 days, i called customer service only to be told that one of the required parts is on backorder with no estimated delivery date. It's extremely frustrating to have a major appliance fail after just 6 month and then be left without a working washer for an indefinite amount of time. I expected much better reliability and customer support from this brand.

What modern piece of junk. Doesn't clean my clothes worth a darn. Never gives my clothes enough water to wash them it. Just beats them up! Way too many add on to ever keep working a few years at best. No wonder Whirlpool keep wanting me to buy an extended warranty as they must know it's not going to work long on a computer chip. GOD, I wish I still had my old Whirlpool that lasted 16 years back.

We changed from Samsung front load, to the top load with the agitator. The soil removal and cleanliness is very good but even after leveling and releveling the washer, it is very finicky as to how it is loaded and doesn™™t balance very well.

Within the first few years we had all the shock absorbers go out, which caused the loads to not balance. So we had to have those replaced, which was not cheap. Then when he was in there, he said the transmission is going out which is super expensive and we should just buy a new one at that point. Due to recent sounds, I feel this could happen any day now! I also keep getting errors via the app with a communication issue as well like the computer is failing, which is super frustrating. I have tried to contact retention and got through one day, which took FOREVER and then no one ever answered. I have tried to call since then and literally cannot get through to anyone and they are closed by the time I am off work. Knowing its going to take forever, it makes it so hard to actually get help. In all honestly I love this washer! The features are so great. I chose USA made and am SO disappointed at the quality of this product as well as the lack of customer service and support to keep rapport with customers. We purchased all Whirlpool items when we moved into our new house and we had the stove repaired twice and cant use rapid heat anymore, and our microwave has a mind of its own. The frig shelves were misaligned when we got it and thankfully no issues with our dishwasher or dryer so far. I hate to say it, I should have went with LG! People I know with LG have not had any issues and their product are LASTING! Cant even express how disappointed I am with this USA-based company! Do better for Americans!

My new washer does a better job than I was expecting, but it would be even better if it did a better job agitating the clothes. I don't see why the blade on the agitator is so small. I'm sure it would do a better job of getting my clothes clean if you improved the agitator action.

The washer stopped functioning after 5 weeks and I returned it for a refund. It would not agitate and just kept filling and then I would turn it off and it would drain. But it wouldn™™t spin or agitate. I am disappointed.

I love the ability to fill up the detergent dispenser and not have to measure it each time. Also just putting in clothes without having to select a load size as the washer figures it out by the weight. This saves on water usage.

The capacity compared to my old Samsung front loader is just insane. Wash times are actually shorter too, but somehow the clothes come out cleaner, plus and they don't need nearly as long in the dryer because the spin cycle is so efficient. The whole machine is also incredibly quiet, which I wasn't expecting. The app integration has honestly been one of my favorite parts. I got my whole family set up on it so we can all see what stage the cycle is in, whether it's in use, and get a notification when it's done. I've also got it connected to Google Home so I can check on a load right from my Pixel Watch using the Gemini button. That might sound like overkill but with my old Samsung I was just setting a phone timer and hoping for the best. Loads would shift, cause a delay, and I'd end up going downstairs two or three times just to reset and recheck. It got old fast. The agitator is easy to pop out for bigger stuff like comforters or blankets and goes right back in without any hassle. Really solid washer. Highly recommend it, especially if your laundry room is any kind of distance from where you actually spend most of your time.

I hate this machine it's going to be horribly expensive to fix it was here when I moved in the one I used to have the whirlpool that I used to have let me an extra rinse cycle or an extra spin cycle and let me select the water level it let me select the temperature and the time this doesn't let me do jack s*** I hate it when something comes out and it's too wet to go in go to the controls and I have to but the spin cycle to a higher setting and rerun the entire wash because it won't let me just do a spin cycle these smart machines are stupid and I hate it I hate it I hate it is wasting so much water is wasting so much Water is wasting so much water and electricity cuz I have to run it twice here we go

Mistake to Buy

Went to Lowes wanting to buy a high quality American- made top load washer. I was led to believe Whirlpool model # WTW8127LC was the correct choice. What a huge mistake. Stay far away from this model. Always off balance loads, makes whistling noise, I already replaced a cheaply made part and the machine is extremely loud. And the Whirlpool Customer Service is non-existent. Waited on line twice for 20 minutes and all I got was music. Unfortunately this is a company and a model not to trust.

What a waste of money. I was tired of the low water usage front load washers and wanted a large capacity, deep water top load with agitator. I guess I should have bought a 1970's refurbished. I have tried every possible combination of cycle options for deep water, max fill, heavy duty, bulky items and still just end up with wet bedding sitting in the bottom not moving. Cotton sheet set and a summer weight blanket for a queen bed. Thank goodness we don't use comforters or have our California king anymore. Don't even try washing anything like sheets and blankets with the center agitator. The machine will tear your house down. Without the agitator, they just sit there while the drum rotates around them. It's like spinning a glass of ice water, the glass moves but not the ice. I miss the old days of choosing "cold, warm, hot" and "small, medium, large or extra large" load size. At least you would get enough water to actually float and swish the clothes around!

Love the removable agitator and the size of the tub in my washer but..... the auto fill option does not do what it is supposed to do very well. My washer will not put enough water in the tub to wash the clothes if I use the auto fill option. I don't think that any of the water levels are actually set correctly on my washer but there is no one close by to check it for me.

Delivered 4/26 and already regret this $2K purchase. Home Depot delivery drivers scratched both units bringing them through the doorway and told me to ™rub it off with alcohol.™ Washer requires 2 cycles to clean normal loads, ripped towels without the agitator, constantly goes off balance, and is extremely loud. Dryer takes 2-3 cycles to dry towels. Whirlpool repair tech said nothing is mechanically wrong, it™™s simply the design. Worst part: only a 48-hour return window.

Bought this about 3 months ago. Had it for one day and got a F6E1 error. Happens during a wash where the ACU cannot communicate with the washer. The washer stays locked and you cant remove your clothes from the washer. Took 6 weeks for the repairman to replace the part. The washer lasted for 1 week before the same error occurred. Worst purchase I have ever made.

Garbage, do not buy. Been without a washer for weeks, The warranty does not cover replacement, just repairs, will take a congressional inquiry for the tech to deem it un repairable. Lowes wont even take it back and its less than 4 months old
