After two months the dryer quit working. Whirlpool's only solution was to wait over three weeks for their service contractor to come out, assuming they don't again reschedule. BUT - they generously offered the chance to pay $45 per month for their special warranty plan, again with no guaranty of any service any time soon. The useless user manual has absolutely no trouble shooting information, and Whirlpool's website offers no assistance for this model. Don't buy this junk dryer.

I purchased the dryer a month ago. I had a Whirlpool previously. I think in general my old set was better. This one seems to have old controls such as countdown 1,2,3. It doesn't seem to dry all the way. I have to keep adding time. My new Whirlpool washer does not remove as much water, so the dryer times are now longer. In general the dryer works and it's ok.

I bought and had this installed about seven weeks ago. If never dried good. Could not return it. A service man came to check it out he is coming back next week to replace the control panel and a sensor. Keeping my fingers crossed. This comes under the saying it has 1 job to do....dry. our clothes have to run though a couple cycles to come close to dry

From the get go, the dryer requires at least 2 repeat drying cycles to really the cloths. I spoke to Whirlpool customer service to address my complaint and they insist my problem is from poor ventilation. I explain the dryer vent is a straight run out the rear of the dryer™¦my previous Maytag dryer had NO venting or drying issues using the same ventilation shoot. I™™m using much more electricity than my previous unit™¦I™™m not happy. If a repairman fixes the problem maybe I can in good conscience rate the dryer more stars.

Stops too early, leaves clothes damp. Overheats and stops mid cycle, leaves clothes soaking wet, and won™™t restart. Whirlpool warranty techs will come out and gaslight you and say nothing is wrong.

Never had a fancy dryer and once I got this and used it... it dried my clothes so well that I feel bougie. haha The only thing that I can say about it is if you have wet hands, the panel can be hard to use sometimes. However, once your hands are dried. all good.

The LG WAS PRIBKEM FREE FIR 10 years. The reason I gave them away was because I move from Florida to North Carolina and did not trust Pods.

We bought this on 8/29/2023 and it was delivered on 9/1/2023. We had no problems with it until September 2024 when my daughter went to use the sanitize button and it frozen the electric panel. Thankfully my husband is a mechanic and ordered a new electric panel, which cost nearly half what we paid for the dryer. He replaced it and it ran great. A note, the electric panel is now discontinued. Hasn™™t been a year yet with the new electric panel and I went to use the sanitize function for the first time and now the dryer won™™t work. Based on my husband™™s research, this dryer has a lot of electrical problems. I™™m assuming that™™s why the electric panel replacement has been discontinued. I do not recommend this product to anymore and whirlpool should™™ve stopped selling this dryer.

Glitchy and short lived

This dryer was a big disappointment. From the start the auto dry modes would never dry clothes fully. Had a technician come to look at it and was told that™™s just how it is and everything was working like it™™s supposed to and to just use timed dry instead. By using timed dry we were able to get out clothes to dry but it™™s frustrating to have paid extra for a dryer with a bunch of features that just don™™t work properly and get no support from the company. Also the touch buttons are glitchy and randomly don™™t recognize they are being pressed. We would frequently have to turn off the dryer then turn it back on to get the start button to recognize it was being pressed for the 3 seconds required to start the dryer. Then recently the dryer started just making a buzzing noise but not turning the drum when you press the start button. I called the store I bought it from and was told it sounds like the motor had died only 4 months outside of the short 1 year factory warranty. Was told the motor was an over $200 part plus labor to fix ($150 just to come diagnose) and since I didn™™t buy an extended warranty I was on my own. I guess I expected to get more than a year and a half out of my dryer when I bought it. Will not buy a whirlpool appliance again after this experience.

I bought this product last January. Since the day that it was delivered it never worked correctly. Despite many, many calls, technicians coming out and diagnosing the problems then coming back to change the parts that were faulty ™¦ then coming back to replace those parts time and time again. I made many calls and sent many emails and messages and I still have this dryer that does NOT work as it should. Sad thing is I had the same dryer in the model before this one and the second one was supposed to be better with improvements based on the former one, yet this new one has been nothing but a headache.

Whirlpool sent me a survey to review, so I am going to give you just that. This dryer has been nothing but a pain! I could not be more disappointed and unhappy with it. I would have given it negative stars if that was an option!! I should have learned my lesson after the experience I had with the one I had prior to this one, but the salesman said that they had made improvements since the last model, so I was giving whirlpool one more chance. That was such a mistake, because the new one, this one, has NEVER WORKED CORRECTLY since the day that it was delivered, which was just the beginning of more calls, technician appointments to diagnose problems on a brand new dryer, then return appointments to ™fix™ it™¦ it was never fixed. So many parts have been replaced and some of them multiples of times, yet it has never been fixed. It has never worked properly. I™™m having a hard time deciding on the worst part besides the wasted hours of me on the phone with someone about the issues or days missed of work for all of the appointments for them to come out to diagnose and to replace parts because I can™™t say repair since it has never worked correctly™¦ so here are just a few: NONE of the many options on the dryer work (if I wanted a basic dryer that™™s what I would have bought) no matter which settings/ cycles were chosen based on the manufacturers instructions nothing was ever dry™¦ so I had to keep selecting timed dry until each load was actually dry which made my utility bill higher each month, the fact that it makes horrible noises and is the loudest appliance I™™ve ever heard, it is so bad that it shakes and moves itself around the laundry room™¦ the list goes on! I still have not received the drying rack that was supposed to come with this dryer, despite my efforts in trying to get it. I am highly disappointed with this product, the manufacturer (Whirlpool) and the company in which I purchased it. I know mistakes happen and sometimes there are bad eggs / lemons along the way, but I expect for companies to stand by their product and to have at least good customer service, but after my second purchase of this particular line of Whirlpool dryers which had same issues and even more on the second one that was supposedly improved I have learned that they just don™™t care. I now have this dryer and the version before it sitting at my house and I am back to using a different brand that is 20 years old and still works!!! The only reason I got the Whirlpool dryers was because I needed a new washer and wanted a matching set. I am so disappointed as this has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had with any purchase that I™™ve ever made.

Easy to Access Pump Filter & Other Great Features!

I love this washer!! I decided on this model mostly because I wanted a front loader where I could access the pump filter easily since it is common for that to need to be cleaned out on front loaders occasionally. (it is easily accessed through the drawer on the bottom -- I don't have to take panels off or make holes in the cabinet like I have seen other people do on other brands). Apart from that, I have been pleasantly surprised by all of the features. I love the Load and Go option, so I don't have to measure detergent for every wash. The setup of the control panel is also well thought out with it organized into the categories where you choose WHAT you are washing and HOW you want to wash it. There are still other features that I have yet to explore with the steam options and drying and I am sure they will not disappoint. Over the years, as I have tried other brands, Whirlpool has become my favorite manufacturer of major appliances because of their reliability.

A Trusted Brand to Our Family

Our new Whirlpool dryer took some getting used to. I had 18 year old Whirlpool dryer that had easier controls to operate. It takes longer to dry than my older one, but new appliances use energy efficient modes that older ones did not have. I just have to learn which fits with what I am drying. It™™s a large capacity model which I like for drying quilts and blankets. Overall, I™™m quite happy with it and we hope it has as long of a life as our old Whirlpool. I wish the end of cycle signal was louder though.
