I had an earlier version of this (at least 10 years if not 15). I loved it. Buying newer version bc the old one's motherboard died & I had to wait so long for my AHS warranty to send a guy out that the interior got black mold all over.

Love the fridge but a day after delivery, we noticed moisture on the top seal of the freezer! There was a part of the seal that was bent and letting air to it therefore leaving a line of moisture! Have yet to get the new seal put in because of having to make an appointment to have it done! Disappointed that a 4000.00 fridge has already needed a fix ð

Compressor dead in 2 Years

Thank goodness for the 10 year warranty, because just days shy of 2 years, the compressor died. It doesn™™t replace dead food or the leaky ice box from melting, but at least we™™re not paying for another new fridge. You can™™t charge $1000+ for a product that only works for two years!!! It™™s manufactured malpractice. Do better Whirlpool. Apparently, we™™re hearing that product out of their Amana, Iowa plant is dying quickly. So likely a mix of cheap engineering and bad manufacturing. Also, they now design these in a way that doesn™™t allow them to be fixed on site. Thankfully our local dealer can repair and offered a loaner for the week. In conclusion, local dealer good. Local factory bad, Michigan headquarters inept.

We bought it through Nebraska Furniture Mart, which has a huge selection, but this fridge stood out to us for its price point, spacious interior, and the clean, stylish design inside and out. We™™ve owned Maytag washer and dryers for about six years now, and they™™ve been solid machines, so we felt confident choosing Maytag again. The new Maytag refrigerator has been has here for approximately three weeks. It has been a pleasure to use. It has a convenient freeze a Drawer and convenient shelves and drawers in the fridge section. The controls are accessible and easy to use. It does seem to run a lot more than the old one. Once, I think I heard it slightly stutter when shutting off. Tthe lighting is excellent!

16 months old and it™™s dead! What a waste of my money. I am pretty handy so tried all the tricks to get it to start up, but nothing worked. It™™s probably the main circuit board which is best handled by a certified technician. I did buy an extended warranty but cannot get anyone here until July 3! That is 12 days. So what are you supposed to do, live out of a cooler? Will not buy a Maytag ever again I wasted 1800 bucks on this piece of crap

I bought this unit about a month ago, and I like everything but the shelves. They way the shelves are designed are horrible, there is a side piece and a bar that gets in the way of everything on EVERY shelf!! Not nearly as much usable space due to this design. The side bins are small, too. They will not swap it out, or offer me different shelves to eliminate the problem, so if you buy it, after 2 days you are stuck with it. Even then, you only get 2 days UNUSED, how the heck do you test something if you can't use it to test it? Using is voids being able to return it if you don't like it!!! BEWARE!!

I had the refrigerator making a strange noise, maybe out of the freezer fan. I moved the refrigerator a bit, per an online suggestion and it worked. Lifetime freezer light went just after the warranty period but a call to Maytag resulted in you sending out a tech to replace it for free.

Ever since we have bought our Maytag refrigerator, half of the lights inside went out and our Ice maker has been nothing but problems! We remolded our home and put all new Maytag in our upstairs kitchen and wished we never did! In less than 4 years have fixed the ice maker and had to replace a dishwasher. Maytag will not be the top of my list or suggestion to anyone to purchase.

My initial delivery was delayed 3 weeks. Then they delivered and installed a refrigerator (paid $2,800) that did not work. The temperature never got below 74 degrees over 72 hours. It took me two days to get someone with customer support to talk with me. They told me to check the temperature for another 24 hours with temperature gauges inside the refrigerator to trouble shoot the problem. Then they told me it would be another week before they could schedule a service appointment. In the meantime all the oil in the motor leaked out of the refrigerator onto my new wood floors. Still waiting for the service appointment and assuming they will need to order parts or a new refrigerator. It also means I™™ve had no refrigerator since they delivered my refrigerator. Horrible service and product.

We love how accessible everything is with this design. The freezer makes it really easy to find everything, and nothing gets lost way down deep. Ice and water makers are nice, though it takes a bit to get used to the dispenser controls. The filters are all easy to get to as well. The only thing I'd change is that when the compressor kicks on, which it seems to do just about every time anyone opens a door on it, it is louder than most of my past refrigerators. It sounds like there's something wrong with the unit and I'm kind of wondering how Maytag could hit everything else so right and not sound-proof the compressor a little better. Our Maytag dishwasher is so quiet you have to look at the controls to see if it's working. I wish the fridge was the same. For us, it is still an acceptable trade-off, as the other attributes outweigh the noisy compressor. Overall, I would totally buy another one.

Moved into a brand new build with our new fridge, water dispenser would not work and no ice being made. Wife call called service dept and they said it would be two weeks to replace the whole refrigerator. I could hear the solenoid working just no water, we will see how it turns out. Nice looking unit though can t wait to try it out.

I'm sure I would have loved the large 27 cu. ft. refrigerator. With the French doors and water and ice in the door. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to receive my order because the delivery team refused to move my present small 16 cu. ft. refrigerator out of the way. One of them said "We just deliver, we don't move things".

I had to refuse my order of the new Maytag Refrigerator. I am a widow and live alone. I could not move my old refrigerator out. I wanted to keep it and have it put in my basement. I chose the delivery time to be between 2:00-6:00pm. The delivery crew showed up before 2:00pm. When I first asked about them moving out my old refrigerator, they said they were running behind already. (HOW) I must have been their first delivery for the 2-6:00 time slot. The delivery crew that Whirlpool uses to deliver their appliances wouldn't move my old refrigerator to my basement. So I asked if they could move it to my front porch. They said they don't mover things, they just deliver. They refused to move my refrigerator for me. I even offered to pay them if they would move it for me. They said NO. Then they offered to bring in the new Maytag refrigerator it into my house and set it in my hallway. He said they wouldn't even charge me a delivery fee. Like they were doing me a huge favor! The delivery WAS FREE!!!! I had no other choice but to refuse the delivery of the new Maytag refrigerator.

I have had this refrigerator for only 9 days as of today. I have had a service call already to address the fact that the freezer drawer seal does not seal completely. Serviceman found the problem and thought that he had fixed it, but it is still leaking!

Shortly after my purchase a circuit board failure caused there to be no inside lighting. I understand things happen. But since then I have had to replace the icemaker twice and the current one which I have had for only eight months is working only intermittently suggesting I will have to replace it as well. Each repairman that has been here has told me it is a design problem with the icemaker in the top of the refrigerator.

Had it for a couple weeks. It works, but it™™s not great. Really behind in space usage, is had to dismantle the interior drawer thing which was heavy and ate up several cubic feet of space for no useful effect other than maybe thermal mass. It holds a lot more if you take the silly center drawer out. Also, the lack of depth in the interior is noticeable, with nowhere to put a 16™ or 20™ pizza box like my previous model with a bottom interior drawer. At least it makes crushed ice. Not a great purchase, but better than what the competition showed.

Condensation on freezer gasket

This was to replace the EXACT same ( older model ) fridge that ice maker started messing up and fridge was not maintaining cold enough temperature. We went with this model because we could swap out handles that matched the other appliances (Maytag ) in kitchen. I am seeing condensation on the freezer gasket though so that is concerning reason for the 4 stars. Hoping that is not an issue of the seal not sealing properly?

Good features, quality and warranty

We have had this a couple of weeks now. Just getting familiar with it features and learning where everything should go. So far everything is working really well, and we like the features. Love the pizza storage in the freezer and the push button ice and water work at the same time!!!! Every refrigerator makes unique noises, and this one is no different. It's very quiet during normal operation but occasionally you will hear some motors or actuators that at first alarmed us. I think this is because our last refrigerator died just after making these noises, but they go away after a few seconds and do not happen very often. Glad we got the extended warranty just in case though.

We bought this about a month ago and we are very happy with it, everything is working as advertised and zero problems to report. The ice maker works great, we™™ve never come close to be even half empty as it stores around 3 1/2 lbs of ice in the reservoir. I also like the feature where you can control the refrigerator and freezer temperatures independently.

It's pretty hard to rate and review when you NEVER received your product!!! NO one called me or emailed me to let me know that it wasn't being delivered. I changed my work schedule to accommodate this delivery, and I have YET to hear from anyone. Needless to say, I demand a refund ASAP. I will shop with a company who actually cares about Customer Service.

Solid Refrigerator

I have had this model since Spring of 2020 and has been reliable. The few items I want to provide feedback on are: 1. All three handles are constantly coming loose and they need to be tightened monthly. This is quite annoying and has been from day 2. Just a design flaw. 2. The water filters are expensive and need to be replaced frequently (subjective). 3. The full length drawer inside the fridge is really flimsy. Have to be mindful to be easy with it or it will break. Other than item 1, these items are probably consistent across most vendors but it is what it is. Maytag, please address these things with your engineers and QA teams. I will accept replacement handles (in return for my fair review) as payment. :)

We have had so many issues with this new fridge. Fan motor, keeps resetting, giving crushed ice when on cubed setting, ice maker broken all within 7 months of purchase! We are on our fifth service call. We continually have issues and all they do is attempting to repair. You would think with a faulty fridge they would accommodate and replace the unit and accept that it was a bad fridge from the factory, but they don™™t. Just like they have lemon cars they also have ™lemon major appliances™ but all they do is attempt to fix with parts that are on factory back order. With cars they have 4 attemps, so why is it that with a major appliance they can just keep attempting repairs? Meanwhile we are just suppose to use a perpetually broken fridge. Stay away from Maytag fridge and appliances in general for that matter.
