Our other Frigidaire finally saw the last bag of groceries. Mother Nature granted us some very cold weather, so we were able to use our garage as our temporary storage. This allowed us time to review a lot of refrigerators. Not on everyone's fun list for sure. I knew the basics I wanted, French door and a bottom freezer. I never needed the double ice makers I had before and didn't like the water dispenser on the front of the door. Often when getting water, you were limited to the size glass you could put under there. It always became a challenge just how much of an angle you had to go to get water and ended up down on the knees mopping up water typically at 1AM. The tray that was there also had to be cleaned frequently with the still water that sat under it, how does that get so disgusting? Then those water splatter marks all over the front, ugh, you leave them there you see them there the next the day. No, the frig fairy didn't take care of it unfortunately. There they were in all their glory with the sun hitting the door the next day.. We like to entertain, but we are not talking every weekend, nor do we have frequent picnics necessitating large ice usage. The upper ice maker was frankly a waste of space and the sound of dropping of cubes into the bin was the instigator for barking fits from our fearless 20lb Doodle. Then we scrolled and scrolled and suddenly there she was! My French door, lower freezer drawer, water dispenser inside, water filter on the side, another factor the original one took up space on the ceiling of the old gal! Then she was delivered, super easy install (YES, we measured correctly, whew!) When I opened the doors, it was like Dorothy in OZ....I saw light, space and had clarity of clear bins, I knew I would then be able to see (wow you needed to be thrown out a bit ago..) I had more space than I thought I would with that ice maker gone too. The bottom one pumps out plenty, and no barking dog alerts in sight! The freezer drawer is big and divided into areas that you can claim back should you want to merge your frozen meatballs and pizza, I have so much room now my ribeye's are more in sight now and tease me to bring them to the upper level. The door timer that tells you to stop mulling things over and get on with it, is quiet and polite. Overall, I just love my new refrigerator. It has everything I needed and wanted. When your old one goes to the metal pile, and you don't want to have to spend the time looking or being home for install or the money...(which was very reasonable by the way) it's nice to be 100% satisfied (and almost glad this happened!) I recommend this model to everyone. Here's looking forward to many happy years!

Do not buy Frigidaire appliances. I bought a refrigerator and it had a bad gasket. I called to have it serviced and a new gasket was ordered. I was promised the 1st appointment of the day by the technician. When they did not show up I called the service number to inquire when they would be here. Was told I was 6th on the list. Had to take a day off for this repair and scheduled a couple of other appointments. Asked for the service tech to come after 3 pm. The service tech was at my house and left before 255 pm. I did not get the 30 minute prior to arrival courtesy text or phone call. I received a text at 236 pm and the technician arrived and left within 20 minutes not honoring that 30 minute service window. I spent an hour on the phone with Frigidaire who refused to acknowledge their mistake and refused to get a hold of the technician to reroute them back to my house for their mistake. Camille said I will have them call you and when I called back in 20 minutes later to find out why I had not received a call Angel had stated my appointment was rescheduled for Friday without asking me if I was available. Unacceptable. They refused to get in touch with the technician although he had another 2 hours of work time to accommodate the customer. Instead my husband now has to take time off work for the tech to come next week. I have both a Frigidaire stove and refrigerator and am about ready to tell Nebraska Furniture Mart to pick up both because this type of customer service is unacceptable.

There is so much room I can believe it. It looks great and no fingerprints. Doors hold a lot and so do the drawers. It™€™s nice that one of the shelves in the refrigerator pushes back to let you store taller stuff. The freeze is big with a nice drawer in the top. The lighting is great in both the bottom.

We replaced a three year old Wpool fridge due the constant noise. This one makes some normal refrigerator noises so that doesn™€™t bother me at all. The freezer is huge! We don™€™t use ice but did let it run for a day or so to make sure it worked. It makes small square shaped cubes. Not very noisy, but we turned it off. There is a switch on the model that turns off the ice maker. The interior of the refrigerator area is well lit up from three led lights that leaves no dark corners. The doors are very thick with lots of insulation and with the adjustable shelves you can create your own refrigerator utopia. There is even one shelf with a sliding portion to allow for those pesky tall wine bottles. We are very pleased with our new refrigerator after spending months looking at them all.

Roomy Refrigerator with a Freezer that Needs Help

The refrigerator is well lit and it is easy to see the contents of drawers and shelves. Shelves can be configured to personal preference. Controls are easily set. The Freezer would benefit, in my opinion, from baskets or a form for configuring space. The bottom section is a "hunt for all" as items, even though initially separated according to type (meat, breads etc), become jumbled when searching for something or when attempting to fit an item into the drawer. I anticipated a a freezer with more space and underestimated our freezer needs

I purchased this GRFN2853AF0 refrigerator and had it delivered 8/11/23 and it has been a complete frustration ever since. First the delivering company damaged my brand new hardwood floors delivering the fridge. Then I realized the fridge was coding out and unresponsive on the door controls. There was also condensation in the fridge and causing mold and leaking into the freezer. They came out and replaced the main board on 11/16/23. Same problem happened again in July 2024, they came out and replaced main board once again on 8/16/24. At this point the company that fixed the issue stated if it happened again they would need to replace the fridge. The same problem has now happened once again in December of 2024. I called Frigidaire and spent 1.5 hrs with customer service for them to tell me the warranty is now over and I will need to pay $325 +tax for someone to come out and fix it or $99 just for them to come out. He then suggested to buy an extended warranty if it happens again for $185/yr. I asked if they could make an exception to the warranty or give me store credit and that I no longer want this Fridge or care to pour any money into it. I was yet again denied.

Happy with our new fridge (Frig).

We have had our new fridge for a few weeks now. This is a very nice refrigerator so far. The hummmmm of the old fridge is gone. Yay! Too bad the first fridge was badly damaged. The second one also came with a small issue but we kept it since it was not very noticeable. The only noise we hear is when the ice maker is working but it isn't too loud and doesn't last long. We have an open concept and noise is a big deal for us. I would prefer an option in the freezer that pulls the top rack (with the ice) when opened. This fridge would have gotten 5 stars but the little plastic lock where the shelves fit together (when they are side by side) gave me trouble getting the shelves in correctly. I also had to figure out the plastic piece that goes on the back of the shelves. All in all we are vey happy with our purchase.
