Took little to no time to setup and start working. My humidity level was very high and within 4 days it's now at normal range. The app is also very intuitive and gives you great way to keep tabs on humidity level as well as how well the humidifier is working. Plus is not only is it taking care of the humidity, but also purifying the air, which is very important to me since my grandkids are always over. I hoping this cuts down on dusting too with the great air filter. Highly recommend this unit.

After doing research online, I came to the conclusion this is the dehumidifier I wanted to purchase. I™™ve never owned or used a dehumidifier before so I don™™t have a lot to compare it to and I haven™™t had more than about a month. I runs as advertised though. The build quality is good, I like having an allergen filter on the machine especially with having two large dogs, and the different setting are nice to switch between depending on your needs. The application works pretty well, it is nice to be able to control the unit remotely, and to see what the settings are set at. I would definitely recommend going with a bigger unit than you think you need, which why I went with this model.

Needed a new de-humidifier after our old one gave out. Did research and decided to give GE a try. Didn™™t work right out of the box. Wouldn™™t shut off regardless of setting and noisy. Took it back and exchanged for Frigidaire. Hands down a better unit

Seems to work fine. However, any message before two years of operation is rather meaningless. If you need to replace under warranty, be persistant. It took me 15 calls and 3 months to get a replacement shipped. Replacement was approved within two weeks of claim.

This one replaces a Frigidaire dehumidifier that finally broke down. So far, so good. It's quieter and removes humidity from our basement air. I dump the bucket at least once daily. Does not display the actual humidity on the device. You can obtain that info from the app.

So I bought this unit for two main reasons. Easy washable filter and wifi app. The operating instructions say filter cannot be washed and then it says to wash it. Fridgidare rep said you need to replace the filter every 3-6 months and it cannot be washed. So which is it?? There is only one filter although the app indicates that athere are two. Also, the app is fine except it does not tell me the most important information; what is the current humidity level? This is in my basement so i'm not there all the time and not even at this property all the time. So how do i even know if its working?? Not sure i should have even rated three stars

I received the Frigidaire gallery dehumidifier. I needed it for some places in my house that collect the moisture like in my laundry room area and in one of my bedrooms so I use it in the bedroom on the first day and it worked perfectly. There is no sound to this machine. It is so awesome and that clean air that comes out of it is amazing. The filter is easy to use and change and clean. The water is easy to dump out. The size of the unit is not that big. It also has a handle to lift up the whole machine instead of you trying to roll it or push it to where you wanted to go you can pick it up by the handle, which I think is an awesome feature. I also like that you can download it and connect it to your phone and turn it on and off when you want. The directions are extremely simple to understand. Very easy to set up. I also liked that it clean the odors in the air and it also has lights to tell you how the air quality is in that room. So I can™™t wait to use it in other bedrooms and other areas of the house to see what the differences are in the air quality and the moisture so I definitely recommend this Frigidaire gallery dehumidifier and I definitely recommend this product if you are having moisture problems in your basement in large areas cause the bedroom that I put it in is extremely large and it worked extremely well and it also pulled out some dust that was in the air. my honest review is that it definitely recommend this dehumidifier if you need one in your home in your basement in your bedroom or even if you don™™t think we need a dehumidifier. It™™s really good to have if you have kids or animals Where it can clean the air in your house. So that is my review because it is very simple and easy to understand how to use the Frigidaire gallery dehumidifier. I definitely recommend this Frigidaire gallery dehumidifier.

I am a male with some respiratory issues, which are exacerbated by poor air quality and high humidity brought on by cold, rain-felled air. Usually I would experience wheezing and coughing, which would keep me up in the night. With this dehumidifier, I no longer have these issues in the night. An extra benefit is that the exhaust air keeps the room warm when it is cold. However, it can also keep the room too warm if it is already warm outside. The water reservoir is also a nice feature that is easily accessible, especially if you place the dehumidifier in an easy to access location. The reservoir feels very contained and is built to prevent spills, which is great. The only thing I think that would jump this product from great to amazing has to do with the indicator lights on top. Since we keep this in our bedroom at night, the lights are fairly bright and illuminate a fair portion of the room. However we usually just cover the buttons and lights with something square and solid, which resolves that issue. But it would be nice to have a night mode or something of that sort. Otherwise, great product, highly recommend. Does exactly what you want from a dehumidifier with all the ease of accessibility and use.

This dehumidifier works well. I try to check it every night so I can empty it before it is full. When it is full, it beeps loudly and it is heavy with water. I find it difficult to remove without spilling water when it is full. It has a reusable filter and a light that indicates when it needs cleaning. I couldn't get it to connect through Wi-Fi. The digital display is easy to read. It has different settings, so you can have it run continuously or set it to a certain percentage of humidity.

This is a great addition to my household. My air feels so much more fresh than it has before. My son used to have constant nosebleeds but after a few weeks of using this they have almost stopped! It looks nice and the remote is a plus! The dust air filter is awesome and it helps to keep my household air clean! I like that it reminds me to check the filter becaus I always forget! The location for the filter is conveinant and easy to access.

We live in Florida which is super humid, our primary bedroom is the most humid room in the house. The room held on to so much moisture, and always held on to odors, we have a 13 year-old 4 pound Yorky poo you would™™ve thought we had a large dog in our room. We were so impressed by the amount of moisture and odors that this dehumidifier removes. It is literally a breath of fresh air. I can completely tell the difference when we use it and when we don™™t use it, the air is so much more clean and fresh when we use the dehumidifier. As a test, I turned off the dehumidifier for the night and woke up in the morning to sinus congestion. It™™s amazing how much allergy relief that this provides me I would definitely recommend this to anyone who lives in a very humid climate or suffers from allergies. It™™s an amazing product.

The dehumidifier arrived and we had it unboxed, connected to our home network and operational in less than 20 minutes. You scan the QR code, download the app, create an account and the app walks you through setup. The Frigidaire® App allows you to remotely turn the unit on or off, manage humidity levels, create custom schedules, and adapt fan speeds. You can also monitor your room's air with the built-in air quality sensor through the app. It was very disappointing to find out, the dehumidifier's listed feature "Works with Amazon Alexa & The Google Assistant" is not operational. The app walks you through the process of connecting both voice assistants, but errors out. I contacted technical support and the technician confirmed the feature is not available for the GHDD5035W1. This was not a critical feature for me, but maybe for others.We purchased the GHDD5035W1 to lower the humidity levels in our main bedroom and bathroom. This is where this dehumidifier shined!!! The dehumidifier lowered the humidity to the 55% we set it to in less than an hour. The 50 Pint reservoir reduced the times we needed to empty. Unit shuts off automatically when the water bucket is full. The unit also has a continuous drain option. This unit is great at filtering and dehumidifying medium to large rooms. A high quality built dehumidifier that can be effortlessly moved from room to room. I have used a regular dehumidifier for about 5 years. I was anxious to try my new Frigidaire dehumidifier because it also has built in allergen protection. It has 2 filters to do the job. This way 1 machine can do the work of two. The unit is very quiet. I like this. The display is bright, easy to read and easy to understand. The unit has a 60 pint capacity reservoir. It will drain on its own or can be manually emptied. It has a large water hose discharge. So this means it has to empty less often and when it does, it's fast. A very unique and helpful feature is the large handle on top of the unit. This really makes it easy to carry around and move to another room is needed. I have never seen this before. It also has casters to roll the unit. This is great.You can set the unit to the humidity level that you desire. The unit will hold this level and come on when the humidity in the room changes. On my old product I had to set it daily. I also like the 3 speed fan. This allows you to move the air quicker or slower to reach your desired air quality.The unit is white and not too big. It fits in a small area of my bathroom. Another handy feature is the ability to control the unit through Bluetooth through an easy to understandable app.Filters are easily assessed to replace when the dehumidifier gives you notice.

We have used a few different dehumidifiers before and have also used a few different air purifiers. I very much appreciate that this product does both! My husband has a lot of lung issues and so when the bedroom/house is too humid he starts to have a difficult time breathing and sometimes needs to use an inhaler. Since we got this we've just kept it on so that it keeps our room at 50% and my husband can really feel the difference! He's been having a much easier time breathing in general and getting to sleep. The noise level doesn't bother us either, it tends to go on and off throughout the day but is not a nuisance really. I also appreciate the ease of emptying the container when it's filled up with water. As well as the fact that there are different modes and options you can choose from to best suit your needs. I think it's a tad larger than I would prefer but honestly it's been doing such a good job of keeping the humidity level down that it's definitely a necessity for our home now in my mind. Would absolutely recommend!

I love this dehumidifier. I use it in my kitchen area by my kitchen sink. It has solved the high humidity in my kitchen area. It was very easy to set up. The only issue I had was once it used full of water and shuts down it™™s quite heavy to lift to empty. I figured out a solution I fist sit it in the floor than on top of the unit. I then grab it on the bottom on both sides and am able to pour it in my sink. I love it beeps to let me know when fill. I empty it about 3 or 4 times a day. I live in hot and humid Texas. I highly recommend this unit. Very effective and sold my humidity issues. Previously I used another dehumidifier . I wasn™™t happy with it . This Frigidaire dehumidifier works harder at getting all the humidity out of the house. We even seen a noticeable improvement with the air quality in our home now. Our central AC system doesn™™t have to run constantly . Furthermore we no longer have a musty smell around the kitchen sink area. Another reason to purchase this dehumidifier is it™™s quite. You barely hear it running. Our old one was loud and annoying. This one checked all the boxes for us. Got the humidity normal and was quiet. Saved our AC system from over working. I highly recommend this dehumidifier. Best feature is being able to use WiFi to access it. Convient.

Refined interface to a necessary home appliance

We've used a dehumidifier for years in our basement during humid periods of the year. Our previous dehumidifier worked ok, but was loud and had to be manually configured, which is a pain as its in our basement. We choose the Frigidaire Dehumidifier for its quiet operation and wifi control. The set up was so easy, the app really made the process seamless. Once setup, the large bucket filled after a day or so and I was notified immediately. This was a huge advancement, as previously we'd have to check on it regularly. We are going to get a drain hose to avoid dumping it going forward. We leveraged the mobile application to set a custom program to run when humidity hits a certain level. This worked perfectly and we are excited to be notified of any errors via the mobile app. The wifi/mobile app functionality is a game changer. The size lends itself to being able to easily move between rooms on its wheels, which provides some nice functionality. One bonus feature was the Indoor Air Quality Monitoring, it's nice to be alerted if there are any air quality issues.

I am in love with this dehumidifier. It was so easy to set up and it has wheels! I've left it on for fhe past 8 hours and I feel the air feeling lighter and fresher. I like the built in air purifying filter and the timer. This thing runs pretty quiet and I love how there is a fan option. It comes with a removable water bucket which is easy to take out. It also has a wifi feature which is a plus as I forget to turn off appliances.
