I was never told nor in the manual that garage heater kit is necessary if refrigerator/freezer is put in the garage. The model description states it is garage ready. The manual states it is intended for applications in the kitchen, basement or an enclosed garage. I have an enclosed garage. My turkey and pumpkin roll defrosted and were ruined. They were thrown out for food safety reasons. The appliance technician stated Frigidaire does not cover the part.They consider it an accessory. The customer must pay for the part and service call. I've the refrigerator/freezer for less than 1month. When I called the customer service number, she put a work order for an appliance company. She kept pushing buying the extended warranty. I wanted my appliance repaired not spend more money on the item not working. I will not buy another Frigidaire product after deceptive advertising of the product and ruined items at my expense of having the garage heater kit installed.

I am giving this 1 star because I am tired of vague multilingual instructions on poorly contrasted dark newsprint in tiny letters. All that annoyance to save a few dollars. Not everyone has eagle eyes.I am also giving this one star because while it claims leveling feet, the poorly contrasted instructions call them anti-tip feet and say to not raise the cabinet with them. So now I have a fridge that rolls around the garage! Fun times!!! I guess adding rubber feet to the anti-tip feet to prevent rolling would have cause Frigidaire to go bankrupt.Overall my experience is of a company that produces stuff that gets sold because of its low price and puts in the minimal effort to make something the end user will love.Gotta go now, my fridge started rolling to the other side of the garage and I have to catch it before it crashes.

We recently purchased a new fridge/freezer from Home Depot, garage-ready. Delivered professionally and it cooled down quickly. A repairman recommended a Frigidaire as the most reliable. We had an old Kelvinator that had lasted ~30 yrs., so can't complain. Frigidaire seems well-built, looks gret and is keeping things frozen/cool.

The refrigerator door does not stop. The door continues to swing from left to right direction and will not stop moving. If I do not stop it physically it continues and hits the adjoining cabinet.

Purchased new frig on 6/18/25 (model #FFTR1814WB) and stopped working within 4 days. Bad compressor. Worked for 4 months and then died again. Appointment made with G&G appliance repair and they never showed up after I confirmed appointment. Called Frigidaire back and they said they could reschedule in 6 weeks in mid January. When I said no, they scheduled a local appointment and told me to pay the bill and send in the invoice. I called today and they said that was not possible, so I am out the $390 for a computer mother board and service. In the meantime, the frig is still not cooling, so I have now bought a Whirlpool frig today and will haul the new 6-month-old Frigidaire to the dump on Wednesday where it belongs.

Luv it. Perfect for the garage. It was ice cold within a couple hours of plugging it in. Looks great. Will hold my steaks and drink. My refrigerator is also Frigidaire. It's over 10 years old and still is ice cold. I will never buy anything other than Frigidaire. Thank you.

I've only had the fridge for a few days. It was a very good deal for the price I paid, and I do not regret my purchase. It got cold really fast and I've already had to turn the freezer and fridge to warmer temperatures as they were getting too cold.A few minor issues though. The largest is the lack of handles makes it a bit confusing to know which side to open, but once it has been here for a while, I'm sure we'll get used to it. It also has a very good seal, which is great except a lot of the times when I go to open it, the whole fridge rolls forwards instead of opening the door. Not sure if having handles would help this or not. The manual is not specific to the model. I used it to reverse the doors, and it had things that were just plain wrong like saying there were 3 screws on the center hinge, when there are only 2 (there were other inaccuracies, but I forget what). Again, fairly minor, and I was able to figure it out on my own (larger and more illustrations could have been useful too).The last one is that there was a lot of tape used to protect it, which I appreciate, but almost all of the tape left behind a lot of residue that is hard to remove (I still haven't gotten all of it out of the door ridge that acts as a handle).
